- Deciding if I should trade-in my RV?
I have a 2000 38' Dutch Star diesel pusher (Cummins on a Spartan with an Allison 6 ). It has always been stored under a roof or in a barn. New Tires last year. New front ball joints last month. We keep the inside clean and in good condition. It has the original AC's, refrigerator, hot water heater, and unit heater. The unit still looks good on the outside less a ding or two on the fiberglas. Once it gets on the road it goes without as much as a burp. It's fun to drive and a great to camp in. We;ve had it for almost nine years. It has 68,000 miles on it. I've hold the pink slip. The single super slide squeals when I let it out or in (slide lube doesn't help). This unit weighs in at 14 tons. With the 315 Cummins it gets just a shade over 7 mpg. Given the MPG and the age (11 years) I'm wondering about the wisdom of trading up. We are both retired now and with the way the economy has been, we'd have to go to a class C gas rig. I've been spoiled by my Newmar, not sure I could ever get use to banging along in a gas unit again. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Best one gets my vote. No dealers please.
A Get rid of the RV and start staying in hotels. When the need for RV camping gets too strong, you can rent one. That way, you don't have the waste of a stagnant "investment" in your driveway 9 months out of every 12.

Alot of people don't know who he is just by his name but he's been in at least 100 movies and he's one of the highest paid latino actors in hollywood. He's the voice of sid on the "Ice Age" movies, and he played Beck in Assualt on Precinct 13 and he played Chi Chi Rodriguez in Too Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. I'm 18 and he's like 42, alot of my friends think I'm crazy but he's just a cutie to me. LOL!
